Ticketbank overcame the Credit / Debit card payment problem which had always existed at The Millennium Dome since it's Construction.

The latest telephone technology was installed at The Dome this at the time being high Speed ISDN lines and exchange,giving hundreds of lines for telephone lines and internet access.

Credit card Terminals such as the BMS T41 required standard Copper telephone cables.......and are incompatible with ISDN lines.
Ticketbank researched all the possibilities availiable including portable GMS,GPRS terminals etc but nothing in '04 was robust enough or in terms of battery power up to the Spec needed.
Ticketbank designed implemented and Supported a one off Custom Payment System to overcome these issues,it was unique had never been thought of before and will unless another set of unique circumstances arise,never be used again !
Ticketbank's unique Solution was to install 8 Computer terminals running on a Secure Broadband network in Core Building B of The Dome ( The Box Office ),Customers would tell the Sales staff how many tickets they required,the staff would then enter this into a special secure web page displayed on the terminals screen then would enter in all the customers details (as you would do to book tickets on this website),this was then processed by Protx our payment Gateway passed across to Barclays Merchant Services who Authorise our Online Payments (or Not !)and the Customer then went into the event.
This system was coined by Ticketbank's Steve Davis (the Designer) : Face to Face Online CNP Transaction.

When it was first suggested Protx and BMS raised an eybrow or two, went away discussed it and said "Why Not" BMS's Ecommerce dept pulled out all the stops and this unique solution was used to process 6000 transactions with a value of £280,000 over the course of the Event,with a virtually Zero charge back rate.None Of Ticketbank's larger rivals were able to come up with ANY solution at all to offer The Promoters of this Event.
